Fenyman has an analogy for how we understand nature and practice science.
"...a fun analogy to understand nature is to imagine that the gods are playing some great game like chess.

And you don't know the rules of the game, but you're allowed to look at the board from time to time, in a little corner, perhaps. And from these observations, you try to figure out what the rules of the game are, what [are] the rules of the pieces moving."

I like to use this analogy to explain why I write. All I write is a non- linear process into making some meaning, some rule about how life works.

I attempt rationality but meaning can sometimes be found on the cusp of logic and faith - a weird kind of knowing that arrives if I am sitting quietly, in a little corner, writing.

"Making meaning" is an attempt to archive this journey.

When I was young and bold and strong,
The right was right, the wrong was wrong.
With plume on high and flag unfurled,
I rode away to right the world.
But now I’m old - and good and bad,
Are woven in a crazy plaid.

I sit and say the world is so,
And wise is s/he who lets it go.

When I was young and bold and strong,
The right was right, the wrong was wrong.
With plume on high and flag unfurled,

But now I’m old - and good and bad,
Are woven in a crazy plaid.

I sit and say the world is so,
And wise is s/he who lets it go.
